Mimi Rogers
Mimi Rogers was born Miriam Spickler on Janurary 27, 1956 in Coral Gables, Florida . She was a gifted student and graduated from high school at the age of 14. In 1977 she married Jim Rogers, a counselor for The Church of Scientology, but the two were divorced in 1980. She then turned her sites toward acting.
After a successful run on various television shows, Mimi Rogers gained public attention in 1987 with her role opposite Tom Beringer in the movie Someone to Watch Over Me. Many film roles followed, including The Mighty Quinn (1989) with Denzel Washington, The Doors (1991) with Val Kilmer and Meg Ryan, The Rapture (1991), The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996) with Barbara Streisand and Jeff Bridges, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997) with Mike Myers, Lost in Space (1998) with William Hurt, and The Door in the Floor (2005) with Kim Basinger and Jeff Bridges.
As she entered her 40’s Mimi Rogers turned again to television and in recent years she has had roles in many television shows. She had a recurring role as Agent Diana Fowley in the X Files. She has had guest starring roles on Dawson’s Creek, Hope & Faith and Las Vegas .
She has also been busy with her long time partner turned husband, producer Chris Ciaffa whom she has been with since 1990. The two have two children Lucy and Charlie. They married in 2003.
In addition to being an actress, Mimi Rogers is also a competitive poker player. In March of 2004 she took home money in the World Poker Tour’s celebrity event. She is also on the board of directors for the World Poker Tour.
In 2006 she began working on the Fox half hour comedy, The Loop, about workers in a Chicago office. The show has been renewed for the 2006-2007 season.
