Dadasaheb Phalke Awards announced

At the press conference held on April 24 at the residence of veteran actor Chandrashekhar, the trustees of Dadasaheb Phalke Academy announced the recipients of Dadasaheb Phalke Academy awards. Legendary film-maker Dr B R Chopra will be conferred with the prestigious Phalke Ratna award, while Rajesh Khanna will receive Phalke Golden Actor award.

The sizzling star of 50s and 60s, Shyama, will receive Phalke Golden Era Actor award. Dance icon Sitara Devi will be honoured with Phalke Indian Classical Dancer award. Many senior artistes and technicians will also honoured and felicitated with trophies at the award function, to be held on Phalke Jayanti, April 30, in Mumbai.
